This was our first CD wedding invitation. This is what happens when someone comes to us with an idea of what they want, but, really, they just know that they want something different. We brainstormed and decided that a CD of salsa music, by the band that was to perform at the reception, would get people excited and in the mood for dancing on vacation in Sayulita, Mexico. Worked into the design were salsa steps for people to learn before they arrived. The CD itself bears the image of the couple’s Chihuahua, Roxy, cheeringĀ on would-be dancers.
All the information for the wedding; the cordial invitation, schedule of the week’s events and a map of the town, were all included in the design. The black and white pattern used throughout was also used as a decoration for the wedding reception and used in additional tags and label designs for favors.
We even designed and crafted party banners to decorate the palapa.
All of the personal details included in the wedding invitation, told the story of the couple and of the fun wedding week ahead, delighting all of the guests. The invitation is a keepsake of the amazing Mexican and nuptual experience that was had. It is so much fun for us when a client asks us for something different.
